Pengetahuan Pengusaha Premis Makanan Terhadap Amalan Pensijilan Halal Malaysia

The increase in the Muslim population as of late had stimulated the development of the halal market and indirectly opens up opportunities for entrepreneurs to expand their business by producing a product or food. Therefore, every business conducted needs to have a halal certificate to ensure that every food produced follows the principles that have been prescribed by Islam. The objective of this study is to find out the level of knowledge of food premises operators regarding Malaysia's Halal Certification (PHM) practices. This study is a preliminary and quantitative survey. The data collection method uses an online questionnaire and has been given to several food premises operators around the state of Perak. The data obtained was analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 28 and analyzed using descriptive statistics. The findings of the study show that the level of knowledge of food premises operators about PHM is still at a moderately high level. Therefore, the results of this study are able to channel information as well as help the authorities in reorganizing strategies to increase knowledge about the concept of halal nutrition and halal certification practices.
