Poverty and Its Relationship to Security and Stability, Effects and Treatments: An Al-Maqasid Approach

Abstract

This research aims to clarify the relationship between poverty and stability and the impact of each one on the other, negatively and positively, and to emphasize the need to reconcile them in the process of advancement in the Islamic economic perspective. The method adopted in this research is the analytical method, as the researcher analyzed the official statistics. The most important finding is that stability is not achieved by military and security forces only, but rather the improvement of economic conditions, a decrease in the rate of poverty and unemployment, and citizens' satisfaction with the living situation.
