Abstract

The emotion of anger is a part of the human self, and it is very important how the human manages those emotions in wise ways. Emotions of anger can arise in many different contexts. This paper focuses on the discussion of the emotional concept of anger according to the perspective of Islamic, Christian, and Hindu scriptures. The purpose of this study was to analyze the emotional concept of anger of each religion in addressing the larger negative impact on inter-religious relations in Malaysia. Data were collected using documentation methods. Thus, in obtaining accurate study results, this study uses document analysis and comparative methods to analyze the results of the data that have been collected. The variety of methods used is to ensure that the results of this study are more quality in terms of production. The findings of the study show that each religion that is the scope of the study shows that the emotions of anger have some similarities from the debate of internal and external factors. Anger is a secondary emotion experienced by a person which is usually caused by something that drives one’s anger to happen and every scripture allows the emotion of anger in several factors such as defending religion, fighting for truth and in self-defense.
