Abstract

Da'wah is the work of continuing the struggle to uphold the truth of Islamic teachings in society. The use of the internet is also embedded among the youth generation who are the future layer. In fact, these millennials are also getting closer to religious knowledge through a virtual approach, especially social media applications that are increasingly popular.  The fact is, digital da'wah is now increasingly accepted by all levels of society and is the main model for delivering Islamic teachings in the Melania era.   In this regard, interactive social media, personality and the ability to manage emotions are elements that have become a trend among millennial preachers. The millennial era interactive da'wah platform also plays a very important role in various levels of society.  Emotional intelligence impacts a preacher's behavior and achievements.  Therefore, the objective of this study is to identify social media interactivity, personality and emotional intelligence towards preachers among youth.  Qualitative study design with document analysis, content analysis and descriptive past study highlights. The results of the study found that several two-way (interactive) da'wah approaches through social media are significant between social media interactivity, personality and emotional intelligence which can be explained from various aspects of the preacher's life. The implications of the study's findings explain that da'wah work is difficult and challenging, the younger generation needs to prepare themselves before being actively involved in upholding Islamic da'wah. This is because interactive social media is able to provide effective development for the youth in terms of ideology, improving themselves and their tendency to better understand the teachings of Islam. Therefore, the future research should focus on three main challenges need to be paid attention to by preachers, especially the younger generation, namely knowledge, popularity and sincerity to strengthen the work of da'wah.
