This article focuses on the impact of the implementation of the Shariah-Based Quality Management System (MS)-1900 towards innovation at the Shariah Court of Malacca, which is one of the earliest Malaysian Syariah Courts to be certified with MS- 1900. This study was conducted using the case study approach, with semi-structured interviews involving 11 respondents from the Top Management and the MS-1900 Steering Committee at Shariah Court of Malacca. The results of this study were analyzed using thematic analysis techniques with the help of Atlas.ti 8. Results showed that implementing the MS 1900 in the Malaccan Shariah Court has generate several innovations that help improve the quality of services. There had been five main innovations: EZ Trace, IQ-Court, Two Easy, Track and Take, and CS Penalty. The results of this study help contribute to the development of knowledge regarding the generation of innovation as an impact of implementing MS-1900, the fact that such a study had never been carried out previously. The results of this study could also encourage other legal institutions to implement MS-1900 as a catalyst for innovation in Shariah courts.
